Mahindra Quanto facelift (Mahindra Canto) shows its new headlight design - Spied
Expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016.
The Mahindra Quanto facelift has been snapped in Pune by IAB reader, Vijay Jagdale.
While reports state the product could be named Mahindra Canto or the Mahindra Cresto, it is also likely that the car would get an alpha-numeric branding since Mahindra considers, based on their research, that alpha-numeric car names have a better reception in the market.
Expected to premiere at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida in February, the Quanto facelift gets an SUV-like front fascia with a new grille and redesigned headlights. The rest of the design seems highly similar to the existing model.

It is expected to ditch the current motor, the 1.5-litre mCR100 diesel unit, in favour of the mHawk80 three-cylinder 1.5-litre diesel engine that was debuted on the Mahindra TUV300. The powerplant generates 84 hp and 230 Nm on the latter. Much like the TUV300, the Canto will be available in an AMT version apart from the five-speed manual.
