The company has designed it traditionally to look like a proper MPV. On that matter, Dr. Pawan Goenka, MD, M&M, has said that “the focus is on movement of people and it is not an SUV vehicle.”

Mahindra has said that it will offer a petrol engine option in all its new models arriving from this year. The company is developing new 1.2-, 1.5- and 2.0-litre petrol engines in MPFI, GDI, turbo and non-turbo variants. The Mahindra U321 could use a 1.5-litre petrol engine.
