At the Auto Expo 2016, Maruti Suzuki is showcasing a dialed-down variant of the Maruti Ciaz RS. The latter was launched last year for sale at prices starting from INR 9.2 Lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ciaz displayed at the Auto Expo features a sporty body kit that comprises of a front spoiler, side skirts, a rear bumper-spoiler, and 16-inch wheels to improve the visual impact of the car. It however does not get the boot spoiler seen on the RS variant.
Inside, it gets dual tone beige and black interior with silver accents and leather seat upholstery. Furthermore, it comes equipped with a 7-inch Smartplay infotainment system and automatic climate control.
Be it the accessorized Ciaz or the Ciaz RS, the engine lineup will include the same petrol and diesel engines from the standard model. The former is a 1.4-litre unit that produces 95 PS at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm at 4,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The diesel model gets the 1.3-litre unit with the SHVS hybrid technology. It churns out 90 PS at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm at 1,750 rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
