Expected to launch in late 2015/early 2016.
HeadlightMag has snapped the first Mazda CX-3 prototype in Thailand at Suvarnabhumi airport cargo.
Expressing the KODO design language, the B-Segment crossover was showcased at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, launched in Japan in February, and will seep into the global marketplace starting next month.
Headlight Mag reports that the car will be manufactured at Mazda Thailand's passenger car assembly plant in Rayong and launch locally in the September - October period. If delayed, it would come not later than the first quarter of 2016.
Slotting below the CX-5, the Honda HR-V rival measures 4,275 mm x 1,765 mm x 1,550 mm (Length x width x height) while having a wheelbase of 2,570 mm. The Thai version could get power from a 1.5 liter turbo diesel equipped with a six-speed auto transmission or a 2.0 liter petrol engine.
