IAB Report - Mercedes B Class facelift teaser next week, reveal at Paris Motor Show
Optional LED headlights will be seen on the Sports Tourer.
Mercedes-Benz will reveal the refreshed B Class at the 2014 Paris Motor Show that opens on September 2, and the first teaser image of the car will be released on September 12.
Cosmetic changes will focus on the headlights and taillights of the 'Sports Tourer'. Reports say that new LED headlights and a headlamp cleaning system will find their way to the car, as will slightly redesigned bumpers.
Inside, the B Class would get an updated navigation system and a few other feature enhancements, details of which remain sketchy now. Mechanically, engineers could retune the existing engine lineup for increased economy and reduced emissions, not to mention a four wheel drive variant with Mercedes's 4MATIC system could also be included.
The B Class for India is imported via the CBU route and is available with two engine options. The petrol variant uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine while the diesel variant gets a 2.2-liter engine. Both engines are paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
