Mitsubishi Outlander launch in India in early 2018 - Report
Mitsubishi listed the Outlander on its Indian website in August but is yet to launch the SUV. According to a report from Autocar India, the launch of the Mitsubishi Outlander will take place in January or February next year.
The Outlander measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,810 mm width and 1,710 mm in height. It has a 2,670 mm wheelbase and a 190 mm ground clearance. Mitsubishi will offer the three-row SUV in India with only a 2.4-litre petrol engine that produces 169 hp and 225 Nm of torque. Despite having a diesel engine available for the Mitsubishi Outlander, the company has decided against offering it in India, again. A continuously variable transmission and the Super All-Wheel Control AWD system will work together to channel drive to the wheels.
Mitsubishi hasn’t released complete details of the Indian-spec Outlander yet. However, it has revealed some main features on the website. The 7-seat SUV will get LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, electric sunroof, rain sensing wipers, keyless entry with push-start button, genuine leather upholstery, electric parking brake with auto hold, dual-zone automatic climate control, 6.1-inch touchscreen central display and Rockford Fosgate sound system with a 710-watt 8-channel amplifier.
