Modified Yamaha RX 135 Diablo café racer by Kirex Moto Customs
Kirex Moto Customs has modified a Yamaha RX 135 into a custom café racer, called the Diablo. The Yamaha RX series was a cult figure amongst two-stroke enthusiasts; however, the company discontinued the RX-series motorcycles due to stricter emission norms.
Pune-based Kirex Moto Customs has not only revived the legendary Yamaha RX 135 but also breathed new life into by modifying it into a true-blue café racer. The modified RX 135 Diablo features a minimalist design with a long tear-drop fuel tank, Clubman-style handlebars, round headlamp and a café racer-style single-seat.
Apart from the chassis, engine, exhaust, and headlamp, most of the other parts on the customized Yamaha cafe racer are custom made or handcrafted. The seat, for instance, is designed in-house while the wheels feature 36 wire-spokes to provide stability at high speeds. The motorcycle features bar-end mirrors and a single-pod instrument cluster that houses the speedometer and odometer.
The customizer has sourced the telescopic front forks and gas-charged rear twin shock absorbers from the Bajaj Pulsar 150, while the bike is done away with any unnecessary plastics. The modified Yamaha RX 135 Diablo café racer rides on 18-inch tires, while Anchorage comes from a front disc brake with Bybre calipers and a rear drum brake. The motorcycles lose out on front indicators but get LED rear indicators.
According to Kirex Moto Customs, the Diablo café racer uses the stock engine. The 132 cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke engine with air-cooling that produces 14 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 12.25 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed transmission. The stock Yamaha RX 135 had a top speed of 110 kph, while the motorcycle tips the weighing scales at 116 Kg, which includes a fuel tank capacity of 10.5 liters.

Kirex Moto Customs hasn’t revealed the specifications or the top-speed of the custom Diablo café racer. The customizer has also developed a practical brat/café racer based on the Yamaha RX 135 Diablo. According to the modifier, it is available in a single-seat or a two-seater configuration.
