MV Agusta F3 800 RC launched in India at INR 21.99 lakh
MV Agusta has expanded its India portfolio with the launch of the F3 800 RC middleweight supersports motorcycle. However, the F3 800 RC is limited to just six units for the Indian market, and it has been priced at INR 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is approximately INR 4 lakh extra over the standard F3 800. MV Agusta will only make 350 units of the F3 800 RC ever.

Do note that the price includes the “Racing Kit” that comes in a wooden box and adds several bits to the motorcycle such as:
- SC Project titanium and carbon fibre exhaust
- Race-spec ECU with special mapping and ‘Race’ rider mode
- Fibreglass pillion cowl
- Carbon fibre bits
- Aluminium brake and clutch levers
The MV Agusta F3 800 RC employs the 798 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine (Euro-IV/BS-IV) that makes 148 hp at 13,000 rpm. However, the Racing Kit bumps up the power output figure to 153 hp at 13,250 rpm. Peak torque output remains at 88 Nm that arrives at 10,600 rpm. The kit also helps shed a commendable 8 kg from the stock trim, bringing the weight down to 165 kilograms (vs 173 kilograms). The performance bump, along with the reduced weight, gives the motorcycle an even better power-to-weight ratio. The maximum speed is rated at 240 km/h.
The hardware, however, remains the same on the RC model. The F3 800 and the F3 800 RC use 43 mm Marzocchi upside-down front fork and Sachs monoshock at the back – both fully-adjustable – to perform the shock absorption tasks. Stopping power comes from Brembo-sourced callipers that grab dual discs at the front and a single disc at the back. The single-sided swingarm from the standard bike has also been retained on the F3 800 RC.
The electronic package, based on MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System), features ride-by-wire throttle with four rider-modes, Electronic Assisted Shifting (EAS 2.0 up & down), Bosch 9 Plus ABS with Race mode, eight-level traction control system and Rear-wheel Lift-up Mitigation.

In terms of styling, the F3 800 RC gets a unique livery that features decals from brands like Motul, Exide, SC Project and Pirelli among others. Like the MV Agusta F4 RC, the F3 800 RC features the number 37 on the fairing. The number refers to the 37 manufacturer's titles that have been won in various classes of Moto GP between 1952 and 1973 with racing legends like Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood and John Surtees. The motorcycle features red wheels as well.
