Naked motorcycles never seem to go out of fashion, with the chiselled looks, squat stance and meatier tyres working in their favour. The world's largest two-wheeler market, India, which sees sales of 20 million vehicles annually, has some of the best designed naked bikes like Bajaj Dominar 400, KTM 250 Duke and the Yamaha FZ25 on sale. Here is a list of the top 5 naked 'sport' motorcycles in India between INR 1 lakh to INR 2 lakh.

Yamaha FZ25 - INR 1.18 lakh

The Yamaha FZ25 is one of the better designed naked streetfighters from India Yamaha Motor, which shares its underpinning with the fully-faired Yamaha Fazer 25. It is also the most affordable roadster premium price bracket. The bike comes equipped with features like LED headlight, digital instrument console, split seats, LED taillight and disc brakes at both the ends.

The Yamaha FZ25 is offered at a price of INR 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and rivals the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR 200 and the KTM 200 Duke. The FZ25 employs a 249 cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 20.3 bhp at 8,000 rpm while developing 20 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Bajaj Dominar 400 - INR 1.48 lakh to INR 1.62 lakh

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is based on the Bajaj Pulsar CS400 Concept that was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014. The Dominar 400 is the only Bajaj motorcycle to come equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit as an option. The bike is also the most powerful and fastest from the stables of Bajaj Auto.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 gets full-LED headlight, reverse-LCD digital instrument cluster, AHO and LED taillights. The Dominar 400 sources power from a 373.2 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine. The Fuel-injected motor is capable of pumping out 34.5 bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 35 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 gets slipper clutch as standard across variants. The motorcycle comes with a price tag of INR 1.48 lakh for the non-ABS model and INR 1.62 lakh for the for the ABS version (both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi).

Mahindra Mojo 300 - INR 1.49 lakh to 1.79 lakh

The Mahindra Mojo is available in two variants - Mojo UT300 and the Mojo XT300. At INR 1,49,520 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Mojo UT300 is priced marginally lower than the KTM 200 Duke. On the other hand, the Mojo XT300, at INR 1,79,520 (ex-showroom Delhi), is the most expensive naked motorcycle in the list.

The Mahindra Mojo UT300 receives telescopic forks in place of the USD forks on the XT300, while it trades the stickier Pirelli Diablo Rosso II with MRF Nylogrip Zapper tyres. The bike receives a carbureted fueling in favour of the fuel injection system and a single exhaust canister.

The Mahindra Mojo sources power from a 295 cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled motor. It produces 22.80 bhp of power and 25.2 Nm of torque on the UT300, while it pumps out 26.82 bhp and 30 Nm of torque on the XT300. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed gearbox.

KTM 200 Duke - INR 1.50 lakh

The KTM 200 Duke is the entry-level naked offering from the Austrian bike maker in India. At INR 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it is not exactly an affordable bike in the segment. However, the premium is justified considering the features in store. While the design hasn’t changed with the 2018 model, the bike gets new colour schemes with standard orange alloy wheels.

The KTM 200 Duke comes with features like WP inverted forks, all-digital instrument console, lighter wheels and an aluminium swingarm. The KTM 200 Duke sources power from a 199.5 cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine with liquid cooling. The motor is tuned to generate a maximum power of 25.5 bhp at 10,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 19.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The KTM 250 Duke is one of the most expensive naked roadsters in this list at INR 1.78 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The 250 Duke sandwiches the KTM 390 Duke and the 200 Duke, offering the same design language as the flagship 390 Duke but misses out on features LED headlight, TFT LCD colour display and ABS.

The KTM 250 Duke uses a 248.8 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, 4-valve engine. The liquid-cooled motor is tuned to develop 29.5 bhp of maximum power at 9,000 rpm along with 24 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission with a standard slipper clutch.
