Styling cues on the new Streetfighter V4 and the Streetfighter V4 S are identical, and the two models are distinguished by their hardware specifications. The S variant of the Streetfighter V4 family benefits from Marchesini forged wheels and Öhlins electrically controlled suspension setup. The Öhlins-sourced setup comprises 43 mm NIX30 front forks and TTX36 rear mono-shock. An Öhlins steering damper is also part of the premium version. The suspension setup and the steering damper uses the second-generation Öhlins Smart EC 2.0.
In contrast, the standard model uses fully adjustable 43 mm Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) at the front, fully adjustable Sachs mono-shock at the back and a Sachs steering damper.
In terms of styling, the new Streetfighter packs full-LED headlight. The design is also claimed to evoke the grin of the Joker (the comic strip character from which the designer of the new naked drew inspiration). The LED headlight is accompanied by a V-shaped DRL that is also used on the Panigale V4 and SuperSport. To offer city-friendly ergonomics, the Streetfighter V4 uses a high, wide bar and a moderated footpeg position.
The 'biplane' wings developed by Ducati Corse enhances the sporty looks and generate 28 kg of downforce at 270 km/h. The wings are also claimed to boost stability during braking. Both versions are available in Ducati Red with dark grey frame and black wheels.
Mechanical specifications on the motorcycle include a 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4, liquid-cooled, 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder engine with a rearward-rotating crankshaft that produces a healthy 153 kW (208 hp) at 12,750 rpm and 123 Nm (90.4 lb-ft) of peak torque at 11,500 rpm. The full-racing Ducati Performance exhaust by Akrapovič is claimed to boosts power to 220 hp.
The kerb weight of 178 kg (V4 S variant) stands at just 178 kg, giving the motorcycle a healthy power-to-weight ratio. The Ducati Performance exhaust by Akrapovič further reduces the weight by 6 kg.
The comprehensive electronics package on the Streetfighter V4 is based on a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU). The electronic suite comprises ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2 and Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO.
The braking hardware includes Brembo Stylema monobloc (M4.30) callipers (dual 330 mm discs at the front and single 245 mm disc at the back. The Full-TFT 5-inch screen is ready for Ducati Data Analyser+ GPS (DDA+ GPS) and Ducati Multimedia System (DMS).
