Suzuki is readying the 3rd-generation Suzuki Hayabusa, which might see its launch dependent on that of the GSX-R1000.

The GSX-R1000 is likely to be launched either at the end of this year or the beginning of 2015 to coincide with Suzuki's entry into MotoGP. Visordown reports that if, however, the GSX-R1000 is launched as a 2015 model later this year, then the Japanese manufacturer would hold back the new Hayabusa till either the end of 2015 or the beginning of 2016.

Current-generation Suzuki Hayabusa for reference.

The first-generation Suzuki Hayabusa was launched way back in 1999, followed by its second-generation model launched in 2007. A small upgrade in 2013 gave the bike ABS and Brembo brake calipers.

The two-wheeler carries a 1,340 cc four-stroke four-cylinder liquid cooled DOHC engine mated to a constant mesh 6-speed gearbox. There is also a driver mode selection system where the rider can choose the engine settings to match preferences or ride conditions. 17-inch three-spoke alloy wheels are found at both ends.

Stopping power comes from twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc option at the rear, with all brake systems from Brembo.

The bike measures 2,190 mm in length, 735 mm in width and 1,165 mm in height. It has a ground clearance of 120 mm and a wheelbase of 1,480 mm.
