Nissan has showcased a Russia specific Nissan Almera at the Moscow Autosalon in August 2012 and the car will reach dealerships next month.

While Nissan has started taking the new generation Sylphy around the globe (as the Pulsar and the Sentra as well) the Russian market gets the older generation with spruced up exterior styling. The basic shape of the car reminds us of the Teana but the headlamps and taillamps are distinct.

The Nissan Almera for Russia is powered by a 1.6 litre petrol engine that produces 106 bhp. The car is available in both manual and automatic transmissions

The Almera emerges as a value for money sedan in the Russian market with the base version starting at 4,29,000 Rubles (around Rs. 7.65 lakhs). The entry level sedan comes with decent equipment such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, power steering, engine immobilizer, trip computer, front power windows, adjustable halogen headlamps and music system.

The second variant of the car gets additional features like central locking, powered wing mirrors, fog lamps and many other options. The variant is priced at 4,53,000 Rubles (around Rs. 8.08 lakhs) and with air conditioner, the price goes up to 4,70,000 Rubles (around Rs. 8.38 lakhs).

The Almera with the auto box costs around 4,70,000 Rubles (around Rs. 8.99 lakhs). The fully loaded Tekna variant which incorporates features like GPS navigation system would be priced at 5,23,000 Rubles (around Rs. 9.33 lakhs).
