Opel Insignia Country Tourer showcased at IAA 2017 - Live
The Opel Insignia Country Tourer has made its premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The prices for the Opel Insignia Country Tourer start from 34,885 Euros in Germany. Bookings are open, and the car will reach the dealers in autumn in Germany. The Country Tourer measures 5004 mm in length, 1,941 mm in width without mirrors, and 1,525 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,829 mm, and the vehicle gets 25 mm additional ground clearance compared to its siblings. The headlights are IntelliLux LED matrix light units and flanks the landscape grille. The front and rear bumper get skid plates and the lower fascia, the wheel arches and along the lower body side feature protective cladding. The rear gets dual exhaust bezels as well.

Coming to the interior, the Country Tourer gets Radio R 4.0 IntelliLink with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also gets personal connectivity and service assistant Opel OnStar including one year of OnStar services as standard. There is a two zone automatic climate control and multi stage adjustable comfort seats as well. The 40/20/40 foldable rear seats as also standard.

A choice of petrol and diesel engines power the Country Tourer. The top end offering is a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which makes 260 PS of power. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Twinster all-wheel drive with torque vectoring. The diesel variant gets a 170 PS 2.0 litre engine with front wheel drive. It pairs with either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic. There’s also a 165 PS turbo petrol engine with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission available.
On the safety front, the estate is equipped with Hill Start Assist; Opel Eye front camera including Forward Collision Alert with Pedestrian Detection and Automatic City Emergency Braking; Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist with automatic steering correction; Following Distance Indication; High Beam Assist and automatic low beam lighting with tunnel recognition.
