Guangzhou Live - Qoros 3 City SUV
Powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine.
Unveiled a few days before its official appearance at the ongoing 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show today, the Qoros 3 City SUV is bound to make a market debut in China next year. Based on the 3 hatch, the compact SUV offers rugged styling, and rides higher (more ground clearance) as well.
On the outside, the vehicle is characterized by black panels that add to the rugged look, twin exhaust pipes, and a matte silver coloured diffuser at the rear. The interior is very similar to the 3 Hatch but to keep the costs low, all the luxuries viz. leather seats, automatic air conditioner, touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera are all available as optional extras.
The Qoros 3 City SUV is offered with a single engine option: a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine which makes 156 bhp and 210 Nm of torque. Manual and automatic transmission choices (both being 6-speed) are available for the compact urban SUV.
With the manual gearbox, the 3 City SUV does 0-100 km/h in 10.1 seconds and hits a top-speed of 205 km/h, and with the dual-clutch automatic, 100 km/h comes up in 10.8 seconds with the top-speed being 208 km/h.
