Video - Range Rover Sport RS teased ahead of its debut this week
The latest teaser of the Range Rover Sport RS has Jaguar Land Rover's Chief Engineer, Mike Cross, saying : "Its a Range Rover Sport...but not as you know it".
The upcoming Sport RS will be the "fastest" and "most agile" Land Rover ever made, and an unveil is confirmed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed taking place from June 26-29 (this week).

The video shows a camouflaged prototype blistering a race track wearing aggressively-designed bumpers with larger airdams. Other exterior changes are expected to include quad-exhausts, larger wheels and bigger diameter brake discs.
The Sport RS will get its power from the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, which is already available on the top-end Autobiography trim of the SUV. Where the normal Sport 5.0L produces 510 hp, the RS is expected to receive about 30 more horsepower taking the power output to about 542 hp. The RS, reports say, sprints from 0-100 km/h in about 4.8 seconds and achieves a top-speed of 265 km/h (the Sport 5.0L takes 5.3 seconds and hits 250 km/h).
Considering that the Range Rover Sport is anyway imported into India, and for reasons we discussed previously, there are good chances that the company will launch the RS model in India as well. In India, and abroad, the Sport RS will compete with the Mercedes GL 63 AMG and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.
