Renault Grand Scenic MPV spotted in India, again - Spied
Likely brought here for benchmarking purposes.
The Renault Grand Scenic MPV was spotted in Chennai yet again, this time by a Motoroids reader. As previously reported, the French car maker has no immediate plans to launch the Grand Scenic in the Indian market.
In fact, Renault India has announced the launch of the Lodgy MPV for early-2015 (with sources claiming a launch by April 2015), which will come in two variants - Lodgy and Lodgy Stepway. The Stepway is a rugged take on the MPV with design features like roof rails, skid guards and body cladding being added to the MPV.
The Lodgy will no doubt be powered by the 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, though the company has not shared specifications or engine details just as yet. Renault is also yet to confirm if it will launch a petrol variant of the Lodgy.
The Lodgy is expected to share plenty of components with the Renault Duster which is well localized in the Indian market. Prices are expected to be competitive as a result.

The Grand Scenic is here likely for benchmarking purposes by Renault or a rival car maker.
