Renault Maxthon allegedly leaks ahead of Beijing debut
Will go on sale in H2 2016.
An official image of the upcoming Renault Maxthon (name unconfirmed) has been allegedly leaked on the web, revealing almost all of its exterior. The design is very close to what was previewed during the last few months with speculative renderings.
Pure Vision full LED headlights with C-shaped LED daytime running lights flowing out of them down to the bumper, four-slat V-shaped grille housing the large diamond logo in the centre, skid plate, black lower body panels, 19-inch wheels, black door moldings and roof bars are the design features of the Renault Koleos successor seen in leaked image. The interior, as seen in a spyshot, will likely be very similar to that of the Talisman.

The Renault Talisman's crossover equivalent will be based on the CMF - C/d version of the Renault-Nissan Group's CMF (Common Module Family) platform and share certain components with the Nissan X-Trail. It will likely be available with a variety of petrol and diesel engines with displacements ranging from 1.6- to 2.5-litre, including units from the Nissan X-Trail. It will be available only in two-row version, at least initially. Renault has said that it is possible to add an extra row of seats, and so, if it finds potential for a three-row crossover, a three-row version of the Maxthon may be introduced.
The Renault Maxthon will likely be revealed online today and will have its world premiere at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show next week. The Renault Koleos's replacement will go on sale in H2 2016.
