Royal Enfield THUG by Neev Motorcycles will steal your heart away

Custom motorcycle builders Neev Motorcycles have created digital renders of a cruiser that look promising. Christened as the THUG, this custom cruiser is anything but conventional. It features sharp styling that will take over the stock look of any Royal Enfield motorcycle (both 350 cc and 500 cc) that it will be built on.

The THUG by Neev Motorcycles gives a complete makeover to the Royal Enfield 350/500 that it is based on. The revised bodywork, however, is accompanied by the stock engine.

The motorcycle features a long list of upgrades and the folks at Neev Motorcycles say that it will take three months to complete the mod-job.

At the front, there's a triangular headlight accompanied by a custom-built casing. The front blinkers sit below the headlight, next to the number plate, and they are LED units. The indicators are the same units that are used on the KTM Duke/RC range of motorcycles. Another noticeable element in the front is the body coloured fender designed in line with the angular theme of the motorcycle.

The unique wheel design is hard to miss. The wheels are 17-inch alloy units wrapped in 140/70 – 17 tubeless tyre at the front and 200/50– 17 tubeless tyre at the rear.

Behind the headlight is a flat, single-piece handlebar with bar end-mounted mirrors. The handlebar also gets bar end lights. The speedometer and the fuel gauge sit on a black panel above the custom-made fuel tank. The 16-litre features black highlights in the form of strips that run at the top and on the sides. Do notice that the design from the wheel is replicated on the strips on the top of the fuel tank. The strips design continues on the rear panel.

In between the fuel tank and the rear panel is a custom-built saddle that carries the design theme of the motorcycle. The saddle steps up towards the pillion seat that provides a backrest to the rider.

At the rear is a LED tail light, accompanied by KTM sourced blinkers. The angular exhaust canister comes with an inscription of the motorcycle's engine displacement of the motorcycle, which is 500 in this case.

Hand fabricated parts include, 16-litre fuel tank, front mudguard, rear mudguard, side panels, tank mounted dashboard, headlight casing unit and front suspension covers.

The motorcycle also features custom-built longer swingarm, double firing Glasswool exhausts (inspired by Harley-Davidson Fatbob 2018) and custom crash guards. The crash guards also feature LED fog lights to illuminate the path after dark. A phone holder and charger is also part of the package.

Braking duties would be provided by 280 mm single disc with dual piston calliper at the front and 250 mm single disc with dual piston calliper at the rear. The stock suspension setup will be retained and thus performing the duties would be conventional telescopic front forks and dual-sided springs at the rear.

The motorcycle can be turned into reality in three months. It uses all custom-built bodywork, save for the LED blinkers from KTM.

The custom build can be applied to any 500 cc and 350 cc Royal Enfield motorcycle. While the entire bodywork will be custom built, the motorcycle will retain its original electricals. The engine specifications are likely to remain factory tuned too.
