Seat mid-size SUV announced, first teasers released
Seat's third SUV confirmed for launch.
Seat launched its first SUV last year - the Seat Ateca, and announced a new compact crossover named Seat Arona. Now, the company has announced its third SUV model, which will arrive in 2018.
The new future model announced by the Spanish automaker is a mid-size SUV that will sit above the Seat Ateca as the new flagship product. The Seat mid-size SUV will ride on the MQB A2 platform and reach the market in two versions: 5-seat and 7-seat. Seat will design the new SUV in Barcelona, Spain and have it manufactured in Germany.
Along with the announcement, Seat released teasers which show the mid-size SUV's sculpted hood, LED light guides of the headlamps at the front, roof rails on the sides and LED cluster of the tail lamps at the rear. The company could offer the large SUV with 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol, 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engines in varying outputs.
