Skoda Kodiaq RS (Skoda Kodiaq vRS) teased - Video
The Skoda Kodiaq RS (Skoda Kodiaq vRS for the UK) has been officially confirmed. Skoda has released a teaser video showing the new range-topping Skoda Kodiaq being driven around the legendary Nordschleife for a record attempt.
The Skoda Kodiaq RS could have a more aggressive exterior with a unique front bumper with larger air intakes, 20-inch alloy wheels in distinctive design, individually designed rear bumper and dual exhaust tailpipes. The RS variant is likely to feature an all-black interior with top-of-the-line equipment as well as sport seats, RS logo on the door sills and seat covers and aluminium-finish pedals.
While the Skoda Kodiaq Sportline was only about sporty styling, the Skoda Kodiaq RS will add performance enhancements. Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq RS is said to have the 2.0-litre BiTDI twin-turbo diesel engine that puts out 177 kW (240 PS) and 500 Nm of torque. While the Skoda Octavia RS is available with a 6-speed manual transmission as well, the Skoda Kodiaq RS may come with only the 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. Availability of an AWD system is a given. The performance-oriented Skoda Kodiaq will likely sit lower by a few millimetres. It could have the capability to complete a 0-100 km/h in about 8 seconds.
