Skoda Superb Sportline showcased at the APS 2018
The Skoda Superb Sportline that was launched in India in October this year is on display at Autocar Performance Show 2018.
The Sportline variant brings an increased sense of dynamism to the mid-size sedan. At the front, it features a glossy black upper grille frame and darkened fog lamps, but not darkened headlamps, unlike in Europe.
On the sides, there’s a SportLine badge on the fenders. 19-inch wheels aren’t available in our market, and as the standard variant, the Sportline variant sits on 17-inch wheels. However, wheels have a dual-tone finish and are in a unique design called ‘Drakon’. The wing mirrors and the side window frames are in black. At the rear, the Sportline variant is equipped with a faux rear diffuser bearing chrome highlights and a black rear spoiler.
The active theme continues inside with sports seats (front), black Alcantara and leather upholstery with diamond stitching, SuperSport steering wheel with silver stitching, carbon decor elements with LED ambient lighting and chrome pedals.
The Skoda Superb Sportline is available with the same two engines as the standard variant: 1.8-litre TSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel. The turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine produces 180 PS and 250 Nm of torque. It is paired with the 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and delivers a fuel economy of 14.81 km/l.
The turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine develops 177 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It is linked to the 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and delivers a fuel economy of 18.66 km/l.
