Triumph Street Scrambler vs. Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled - Spec comparo
Triumph and Ducati recently launched their off-road friendly offerings, the Triumph Street Scrambler and the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled respectively, in the Indian market.
Both the bikes are designed for maximum fun off-roading, so let’s see how they fare against each other on paper.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled makes 18.4 PS more power compared to the Triumph Street Scrambler. But the Street Scrambler makes up by generating 11.84 Nm more torque at earlier revs. The 6-speed gearbox of the Desert Sled comes with the slipper clutch; whereas the Street Scrambler gets a 5-speed unit with clutch lever assist. The Triumph gets switchable ABS and traction control, whereas the Ducati only offers a dual channel ABS in its bike.
The Desert Sled gets 80 mm more travel on both the front and rear suspension. The bike is also lighter than its British counterpart by 15 kg. At 860 mm, the standard seat height of the Desert Sled is 70 mm more than the Street Scrambler’s (790 mm). The liquid cooled Street Scrambler engine gets 4,000 km longer service interval than the Italian bike. The price difference between the two bikes is INR 1.22 lakhs.
