The Suzuki Alto 800 Sport Edition has been unveiled at the 2014 Colombo Motor Show in Sri Lanka by Associated Motorways Pvt. Ltd., Suzuki's official importer of the country.
The special edition which is based on the entry level Lxi trim, carries body decals, window tint, 'Sport Edition' badge on the front fenders and hatch door, and black alloy wheels, rub strip, wing mirrors and roof spoiler.
The interior features include orange accents on the centre console, and dual-tone seat fabrics with contrast orange stitching and 'Sport' embroidery on the headrests. The Sport Edition also gets full floor rubber carpeting.
In term of equipment, the dealer level special edition features central locking with alarm and reverse parking sensor. The standard equipments include body colored bumpers, power steering, front power windows and CD/MP3 player
Shipped from India, the Alto 800 is powered by the proven 796 cc three-pot petrol motor which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission to produce 48 PS and 69 Nm of torque.
The Alto 800 is the cheapest offering by Suzuki in Sri Lanka and the prices start at LKR 1.85 million (around INR 8.75 lakhs). The Suzuki Alto Sport Edition retails at LKR 1.97 million (around INR 9.32 lakhs).
