Suzuki Alto Works launched in Japan, priced from 1,509,840 yen - IAB Report

Suzuki has launched the performance-oriented Suzuki Alto Works that will be exclusive to the Japanese market. It is priced from 1,509,840 yen (INR 8.29 Lakhs).
Unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the Suzuki Alto Works measures 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide, 1,500 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,460 mm. It features a sportier body kit that comprises of a larger airdam, foglamps, multi-spoke alloy rims, side sill extensions with side decals, red brake calipers and chrome bezels for the bug-eyed headlamps.
The interior has also undergone a sporty overhaul. It comes with body-hugging Recaro seats, red contrast stitching, floor carpets, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a sportier instrument cluster with red accents.

The Alto Works is powered by a turbocharged three cylinder 658 cc petrol engine that churns out 64 PS and 100 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 5-speed short-throw manual gearbox as standard, while a 5-speed Auto Gear Shift (AGS) is also offered in higher variants. Also optional is an ALLGRIP 4WD system. It has a 27 liter fuel tank and is capable of returning a mileage of 23.6 km/L (2WD with 5-speed AGS).
