Dealerships accepting bookings for Suzuki Burgman Street - Report
Suzuki Burgman Street bookings are open reports NDTV carandbike. The 125 cc scooter that was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo in February earlier this year was recently spotted on public roads during a TVC shoot.
As per the report, Suzuki dealerships are unofficially accepting bookings for the Burgman Street 125 for a deposit of INR 5,000. The company is yet to make any official announcements regarding the same or related to the launch date.
The smallest member of the Burgman scooter family is heavily inspired by the design of its elder siblings. Features include an LED headlight, wind deflector mounted on the front cowl, fully digital instrumentation, and alloy wheels. More information is likely to be revealed closer to the launch date.
The Suzuki Burgman Street is 1,88 mm long, 661 mm wide, and 1,163 mm tall. It employs the same engine as the Suzuki Access 125. This 124.3 cc single cylinder air cooled mill mates with a CVT. The power and torque outputs could be similar. In the Access' case, the engine makes 8.7 PS at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm.
The scooter features a telescopic front suspension and hydraulic type rear suspension. Braking duties are handled by a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. The Suzuki Burgman Street benefits from Combination Braking System as well. It is equipped with 90/90 - 12 54J front and 90/100 - 10 54J rear tubeless tires.
At the Auto Expo, Suzuki announced that the scooter will be launched in 2018. According to carandbike's report, the Suzuki Burgman Street could be launched in July. Once launched, it will become the company's third scooter in India joining the Suzuki Access 125 and Suzuki Let's. Prices are expected to fall in the INR 65,000 - 70,000 (ex-showroom) range. The Honda Grazia, TVS NTorq, Honda Activa 125, Vespa 125, and Aprilia SR 125 will be the rivals of the Burgman 125.

Globally, the Suzuki Burgman range includes the Burgman 650, Burgman 400, and the Burgman 200. The Suzuki Burgman 650 was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year and at the 2016 edition as well. Although the company doesn't have any immediate plans to the launch it in India.
