Suzuki has launched the Dzire in South Africa. A white example of the Suzuki Dzire (Maruti Dzire) with a body kit was showcased at a press event in the country. These images were shared on Twitter by 'TheCapeTownGuy'.

The body kit adds bumper extensions to the front and rear and side skirts to match.

The body kit adds front and rear bumper extensions to the Suzuki Dzire. It also gets side skirts to complement the bumper extensions. The 15-inch two-tone precision cut alloy wheels have been borrowed from the Maruti Dzire sold in India.

The lack of front fog lamps, blacked out B-pillar, body colour ORVMs, and chrome finish grille indicate that this Dzire with a body kit is based on the base GA grade. The cabin of the entry-level trim pictured here gets an all-black finish, manual air conditioning, and a very basic instrument console with a speedo. There is no audio unit on offer.

The Suzuki Dzire is available in a higher-spec GL grade as well. This adds features like rear AC vents, an extra 12V socket, an audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, front fog lamps, electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors with a body colour finish, a tachometer, and steering-mounted audio controls.

The Suzuki Dzire for the South African market shares the 1.2 L K12M petrol engine with the 2018 Suzuki Swift. The engine makes 61 kW at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT. Suzuki claims a fuel efficiency of 4.9 litres/100 km.

Suzuki is offering the Dzire in seven exterior colours - Oxford Blue Pearl Metallic, Sherwood Brown Pearl Metallic, Gallant Red Pearl Metallic, Arctic White Pearl, Silky Silver Metallic, Magma Grey Metallic, and Midnight Black Metallic.
