Ertiga accounts for 40% of Suzuki sales in Indonesia
Maruti may need special editions or a CNG variant to maintain the sales momentum of the Ertiga, however its biggest export market Indonesia is not experiencing any hiccups. The Ertiga is offered there with manual and automatic transmission options, but only in petrol.
Head of Marketing PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales Joko Utomo told reporters this month that 40% of total sales of Suzuki Indonesia is now coming from the Ertiga.
In the last four months, the 21,870 units of the Suzuki Ertiga have been sold in Indonesia. This is a healthy number but pales in comparison to the Indonesian market leader Toyota Avanza, which finished at 68,362 units in the same period.
