Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition revealed

The Tata Hexa Downtown Urban special edition has been revealed sporting a new Urban Bronze colour as well as additional features across trims. The special edition Hexa is available in tow packages called Absolute and Indulge.

The Tata Hexa Downtown Urban addition sports a new Urban Bronze colour. Additions to the exterior include chrome garnish around the headlamps, tail lamps, and ORVMs

The XE, XM, and XMA trims gain tan seat covers as part of the Absolute package while the Indulge package adds 16-inch alloy wheels. On the top end XT and XTA trim, the Indulge package entails additional features like two 10.1 inch Blaupunkt screen for the rear passengers as well as a dashboard-mounted head-up display that shows speed limit alerts, tyre pressure, and battery voltage information.

All Downtown Urban edition trims of the Hexa get chrome applique around the headlamps, tail lamps, sides and on the ORVMs, with Downtown badging. The package also includes side steps, wireless smartphone charging, a carpet set, and a car care kit.

The new Urban Bronze colour joins the five existing exterior paint shades of the Tata Hexa - Arizona Blue, Tungsten Silver, Pearl White, Platinum Silver, and Sky Grey.

Tata offers the standard Hexa in six trims including two automatic variants and one 4x4 variant. The top-spec XT trim features automatic headlamps, LED DRL, LED tail lamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, power folding ORVMs, and automatic climate control. There is a ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system on offer with navigation support. The stock ICE setup includes a JBL sound system with 5 speakers, 4 tweeters and 1 subwoofer. Other features include cruise control, reverse parking sensors and camera, and six airbags.

The engine powering the Hexa is the familiar 2.2 L VARICOR diesel available in two states of tune. The XM, XT, XMA, and XTA trims get the VARICOR 400 producing 156 PS and 400 Nm mated to a 6-speed manula/6-speed automatic transmission. The base XE trim is powered by the VARICOR 320 producing 150 PS and 320 Nm paired with a 5-speed manual. A 4x4 variant is also offered but only in the XT manual trim.

Tan seat covers are a part of the Downtown Urban package along with features like a head-up display, wireless charging, and screen for the rear seat occupants.

Tata is yet to announce the price of the Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition.Currently, prices of the Tata Hexa start at INR 11.72 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base XE 4x2 trim going up to INR 17.19 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the range-topping XT 4x4.
