Tata Motors has launched the Tata Aria and the Tata Manza in Ghana. The company has tied up with Modern Auto Services of Ghana to launch the two cars in the African Nation. A report on spyghana.com confirms this.

Tata Motors has been selling commercial vehicles in Ghana since 1974. Exports of passenger cars to the African national began in October 2006 with the Indica, Indigo, Sumo and Safari brands.

Tata Motors has launched the pre-facelift Tata Aria in Ghana.

Although no news has been reported on further launches, Tata Motors has been actively foraying into foreign markets and increasing its portfolio in markets where it already operates. Its recent entry into the Philippines saw it launching the Tata Indigo, Tata Manza, Tata Vista and the Tata Indica models along with the Xenon pickup truck and the Ace and Super Ace small commercial vehicles.

Even though Tata had recently launched a refreshed Tata Aria in India, the one launched in Ghana is the older version. The MPV sports a 2.2-liter DICOR diesel engine and the Tata Manza was launched with the 1.4-liter SAFIRE engine.

The Tata Bolt was shown at the Geneva Motor Show.

Tata Motors's quest to boost its sales by entering into foreign markets and new segments helps in reducing its dependence on the Indian market. A few countries that the company entered recently or plans to enter include Algeria, Thailand, Philippines and Australia. It had also showcased the Tata Zest and the Tata Bolt at the Geneva Auto Show last month, though it confirmed that there were no plans to launch those models in Europe.
