Tata Motors sells 1,000 vehicles in Indonesia - IAB Report
Tata Super Ace becomes the best seller.
Tata Motors' subsidiary in Indonesia, Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), has sold 1,000 vehicles in the archipelago.
Tata Motors entered Indonesia in September 2013, and currently sells the Ace EX2, Super Ace, Xenon XT, Vista, Safari Storme and Aria, through the CBU route. Of these, the Super Ace garnered maximum sales in 2014, accounting for 694 units, according to online reports. Last year, Tata Motors showcased future products at IIMS 2014, including the production version of the Super Ace-based Angkot passenger van, and a host of applications including a Tipper.
In terms of sales, the company is at 17th position out of 41 brands in the market, while looking forward, it plans to have 20 3S (Sales, Service, and Spare parts) dealers, and added Tata Certified Workshops and Service (2S - Service and Spare) centres.

Biswadev Sengupta, President Director of TMDI, said, "We are proud to achieve 1,000 unit sales, and we hope to see a positive sales trend."
