Tata Zest, Bolt launched in Sri Lanka from INR 10.98 lakhs onwards - IAB Report
Both cars were launched in India in the previous fiscal year.
Tata Motors along with Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO) launched the Tata Zest compact sedan and the Tata Bolt hatchback in the Sri Lankan market today. The Zest is priced from 2.81 million Sri Lankan rupee, ex-Showroom (INR 13.42 lakhs) while the Bolt costs from 2.299 million Sri Lankan rupee, ex-Showroom (INR 10.98 lakhs). The Zest was previewed at the Ceylon Motor Show last month.
The Zest and Bolt are offered with the 1.2-liter four-cylinder Revotron turbocharged petrol engine and the 1.3-liter Fiat-sourced MultiJet diesel engine. They will be sold through 37 DIMO outlets initially.
The 1.2-liter Revotron engine is capable of 90 PS and 140 Nm of torque, and comes paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.3-liter diesel engine on the other hand, makes 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque on the Bolt and 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque on the Zest. Apart from a 5-speed manual transmission, this engine is also paired to a F-Tronic 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) on the Zest.
The Revotron petrol engine gets Tata's MultiDrive functionality which allows the driver to select between three driving modes - Sport, Eco and City. Depending on the mode, the throttle map of the car is altered for better power delivery or higher fuel efficiency.
