Toyota Izoa crossover reaches Chinese showrooms
The Toyota Izoa, basically a rebadged Toyota C-HR, has started reaching dealerships in China. Here are images from a dealership, courtesy Autohome.
Toyota has two JV companies in China: GAC Toyota and FAW Toyota, and both of them will sell the Toyota C-HR. GAC-Toyota will offer the original version, while FTMS-Toyota will offer the rebadged version seen here. There are no major differences between the two versions. The latter adds silver trim on the front bumper.
The Toyota Izoa’s display model features a two-tone exterior colour scheme with red as the primary colour and white as the contrasting colour used on the A-pillar, roof, rear spoiler and ORVMs. It is equipped with features like multifunction steering wheel, colour MID, floating central display, engine start-stop button and electronic parking. The interior also carries a two-tone colour scheme, with black as the primary colour and blue contrasting. A number of panels have gloss black inserts to add to the sporty appeal of the two-tone interior.

Under the hood, the Toyota Izoa has a newly-developed TNGA 2.0-litre Dynamic Force petrol engine. Numbers aren’t out yet, but we do know that the naturally aspirated unit is matched to a continuously variable transmission. Sales of the new B-SUV commence later this year.
