According to a report from last month, Triumph Motorcycles India plans to introduce BS-VI compliant models in our country from December 2019. The company's General Manager, Shoeb Farooq, has said in an interview that the BS-VI compliant Triumph range would start arriving in India towards the end of 2019. Thus, the discounts offered by the Delhi-NCR dealership could be an exercise to clear the stock of old bikes before the new models start to arrive.
Farooq had stated that the Indian arm of the British two-wheeler marquee would have to ensure that all the BS-IV stock is liquidated by March 31, 2020. The company does not want to be in a situation where they are left with more than required stocks with themselves or the dealerships. The BS-VI emission norms, for reference, will come into effect from 1 April next year.
