INTERMOT 2014 Live - Triumph Street Triple RX
Offers a dual-tone paint and Daytona 675 bits.
The Triumph Street Triple RX special edition has been unveiled at the INTERMOT 2014 motorcycle show which is being held in the German city of Cologne.
The special edition motorcycle is an accessorized version of the Street Triple R which lifts a few items from the Daytona 675's parts bin. For instance, in place of the regular version's pillion seat sits a 675 Daytona tail piece. The rear subframe is also borrowed from the fully faired sportsbike sibling.
There is a floating front cowl just above the signature twin-circular headlights, a belly pan to protect the sump and an exclusive silver and red dual-tone paint scheme.
The modifications are skin-deep as the 675 cc in-line three-cylinder motor continues to pump out 106 PS and 68 Nm of torque. The liquid-cooled powerplant is matched to a 6-speed gearbox.
The aluminium twin-spar chassis is fastened to a two-piece high-pressure diecast rear subframe and the swing arm is a twin-sided cast aluminium unit. The suspension system comprises a fully adjustable KYB inverted telescopic fork and a monoshock with a piggyback reservoir.
The 17-inch alloy wheels are retarded by four-piston Nissin twin-discs upfront and a single piston Brembo rear disc.
