UM hikes prices of its motorcycles marginally
UM motorcycles has hiked prices of its products. Delhi dealers say the prices have been hiked by around INR 3,000 for the Commando and approximately INR 2,500 for the Sports S. The Renegade Sports S now costs INR 1,71,654, while the price of the Renegade Commando is INR 1,76,091 - both ex-showroom, Delhi.
The rise in prices comes shortly after the company welcoming the implementation of GST by pre-emptively offering pre-GST price cuts.
The Renegade Commando is a classic cruiser with spoke wheels and retro design. The Renegade Sports S on the other hand, is sporty with alloy wheels and a café-racer inspired design.

Both bikes use a 279.5 cc single cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 24.8 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 23 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. A six-speed gearbox does duty on the bikes.
The bikes employ 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and twin hydraulic shocks at the rear. The Renegade Commando uses tubed tyres for its spoke wheels while the Sports S uses alloys with tubeless tires. Both bikes feature 280 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum. The Commando is 2kg heavier than the Sports S, at 179kg kerb. The two bikes have an 18-litre fuel tank.
