Production TVS Akula 310 completely exposed in spyshots
The TVS Akula 310 is expected to be launched in July 2017.
The production version of TVS’ first fully faired motorcycle has been spotted without covers or camouflage. These images have been shown on blogs, Facebook groups and forums since late yesterday. First previewed as the TVS Akula 310 concept, the Akula seems bigger than the average 300 cc motorcycle.
The TVS Akula 310 will share the 313 cc single cylinder powertrain with the BMW G310R. The outputs (34 PS @ 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of @ 7,500 rpm) may remain the same but there is a strong possibility that TVS will detune the engine in favour of fuel efficiency. The Akula too will be focusing on usable power just like its smaller sibling, the TVS Apache RTR 200.
The bikes spotted, claimed by some as from a dealer stockyard, continues with the same vertically lined digital instrumentation from the concept model. The tall windscreen visor will be a boon against windblast. The bike gets twin projector headlamps and upside down front forks. Tyres have been sourced from Pirelli.
The positioning of the clip-on handlebar and footpegs signal a slightly relaxed riding position. The fuel tank has been chiseled sharply and will help the rider lock the leg while taking on a corner.
TVS Motor intended to launch the motorcycle around March, but the launch date reportedly stands delayed to July, as per CarAndBike.
