IAB Report - VW T-ROC concept unveiled in Geneva [Gallery Updated]

Volkswagen has unveiled the two-door VW T-ROC SUV concept at the VW Group Night on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show. The concept demonstrates a new approach to compact SUVs by the VW brand.

The T-ROC would be placed just below the Tiguan SUV. It is powered by the same 2.0-liter TDI engine that develops 184 hp and 380 Nm from 1,750 rpm found in the Golf GTD. This engine in the concept is mated to VW's 7-speed DSG gearbox and delivers a top-speed of 210 kph.

The permanent all-wheel drive T-ROC measures 4,179 mm long, 1,831 mm wide and 1,501 mm tall. The car is based on the VW Group's MQB platform and gets a wheelbase of 2,595 mm.

The concept's headlight has a strip of three LEDs at the centre. On the inside, there's a 12.3 inch colour display that is used as a combined instrument. Fully digital instruments and digital climate control are featured, along with a portable tablet that serves as the infotainment display. The car can be driven in three different modes - Street, Offroad and Snow.
