Yamaha Fazer 25 customer deliveries begin in India
India Yamaha Motor launched its sporty tourer, the Yamaha Fazer 25, in August, and the deliveries have commenced from the third week of this month in cities like Kolkata and Chennai.
The Yamaha Fazer 25 is the touring iteration of the quarter-litre naked motorcycle, the FZ25. The Fazer 25 features an aerodynamic fairing, which reduces rider fatigue by preventing wind blasts at high speeds. The bike also gets a twin horn setup as opposed to a single horn in the FZ25.
With the Fazer 25, Yamaha is targeting riders in their 20’s and early 30’s, with the theme ‘Great stories begin on weekends’. Priced at INR 1,28,335, ex-showroom, Mumbai, the Fazer 25 rivals the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200. Yamaha is bullish about entry-level midsize models such as the Yamaha FZ25 and the Yamaha Fazer 25. It says these motorcycles will attract many first-time buyers.

Yamaha has tuned the engine for smooth power curve and initial torque to suit the Indian traffic conditions. The powerplant pairs with a 5-speed transmission.
Suspension components include telescopic fork at the front and a monocross shock absorber at the rear. The bike comes with 282 mm front and 220 mm rear disc. It does not come with ABS. The motorcycle weighs 154 kg kerb and comes with a 14-litre fuel tank.
