The only observable changes are that the Yamaha Fazer 25 gets an aerodynamic fairing, which reduces rider fatigue by preventing wind blasts at high speeds. The bike gets a twin horn setup as opposed to a single horn in the FZ25.

Both the bikes share the 249cc single cylinder SOHC 2-valve engine with fuel injection. It generates 20.9 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm in the two bikes. The engine works in tandem with a 5-speed transmission.
