The FZ v2.0 series will launch in Nepal in two months.

The refreshed motorcycle has been given a styling makeover with a new headlamp, instrument console, tank extensions, split seats with new tail piece, taillamp and registration plate holder, redesigned silencer end-can and new color options.

New split grab rails and a tyre hugging splatter guard round off body changes.

Technical upgrades come in the form of a new fuel injection system. A part of the 'BlueCore' technology, the company claims that combustion efficiency has improved and power loss is reduced.

The bike is powered by a down-sized 149 cc engine producing 13.1 PS and 12.8 Nm of torque (compared to 14 PS and 13.6 Nm respectively of the previous version). Yamaha says the new bike offers 14% better fuel efficiency than its predecessor and the overall emission has been reduced (carbon + Nox) by 33%.

The new model is 3 kg lighter than the older one, and tire sizes are retained albeit featuring new tread patterns and higher immunity to punctures.
