Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally launched in India at INR 57,898
India Yamaha Motor has launched the new Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally variant in India, priced at INR 57,898 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter will reach Yamaha dealerships from the last week of July 2018.
The company had showcased the Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally edition at the Auto Expo 2018, while it was officially teased a few days back. The Ray ZR Street Rally edition is available in two colours schemes - Rally Red and Racing Blue. The Street Rally features a new ‘Wing Style fairing’ inspired from the Yamaha MT-09, which not only enhances the sporty design but also serves as a wind deflector.
The ‘Knuckle Guard’ or the winglets protects the handle grips from windblast, while the movable front fender protects from mud splatter. The scooter features an all-digital instrument cluster and a roller rocker arm’, which reduces power loss in extremely low-speed ranges. Cosmetic changes include new sporty ‘Street Rally’ decals on the side panels and the front fairing.
Roy Kurian, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd. said, -
Yamaha’s Cygnus Ray ZR ‘Street Rally’ Edition perfectly combines power and style that makes it an aspirational buy. Continuing with Yamaha’s legacy to provide technologically advanced, sporty and stylish products, ‘Street Rally’ will bring excitement to scooter customers who look for sporty scooters with easy maneuvering along with smooth power delivery. The globally known ‘Unique style of Yamaha’ that outlines any product innovation including the ‘Street Rally’ edition will help the brand to keep up its incremental ascent in the Indian two-wheeler market.
Unlike the model showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, the production-spec Ray ZR Street Rally features black alloy wheels and white rear mono-shock. The two-wheeler comes with a 170 mm front disc brake and a rear drum brake setup. It features a generous under-seat storage capacity of 21 litres, while the front storage pocket can fit a 500 ml bottle. The Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally features a key-secure-grip system and a two-level raised seat.
