A Yamaha YZF-R3 from Vietnam has received a custom livery and AMG decals. The paint scheme and the AMG decals that run across the fairing and the fuel tank is something that we’re used to seeing on special edition MV Agusta motorcycles.

Besides the custom livery, the Yamaha YZF-R3 also gets aftermarket auxiliary headlights, crashguards and exhaust. The motorcycle retains the stock design.

The custom livery features red and white paint with highlights of blue across the motorcycle. At the front, the motorcycle retains its twin-pod headlight. However, the illumination department gets an upgrade in the form of two auxiliary lights that are installed on either side of the aftermarket windscreen. A ‘R3’ logo occupies the front centre of the fairing.

On the sides, the motorcycle features the aforementioned AMG logo that is accompanied by Yamaha branding. The aftermarket crashguards and the aftermarket exhaust system that replaces the stock, compact canister are also visible here.

The motorcycle retains the stock design. Steering duties are performed by the stock clip-on handlebar. However, the factory installed bar-end weights and the grips have been traded for aftermarket units.

The stock fuel tank is followed by split seats. The saddle seems to have received extra padding on both, rider and pillion seat, for better comfort on long runs.

At the rear, the lightweight superport motorcycle loses the stock numberplate holder and blinkers. Instead, a pair of LED aftermarket blinkers occupies the space under the rear panel.

Braking and suspension setup appears to be stock. Thus, you will spot a conventional telescopic front fork and a monoshock at the rear performing the shock absorbing tasks. Disc brakes on both ends perform anchoring tasks.

The customisation job from Vietnam looks neat and makes the already beautiful YZF-R3 look even more appealing.

There is no mention of any mechanical upgrades, and so, it is safe to assume that the motorcycle draws 42 PS of maximum power @ 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of peak torque @ 9,000 rpm from the standard 321 cc liquid-cooled, in-line twin-cylinder, dual overhead cam (DOHC), fuel-injected engine.

The rider and the pillion seat get extra padding that should offer more comfort on longer rides.

In related news, the 2019 Yamaha YZF-R3 was unveiled this week. The facelifted model comes with full-LED headlights and a revised fascia that resembles the litre-class YZF-R1. The new fairing and windscreen design on the 2019 YZF-R3 pay homage to Yamaha's flagship MotoGP race bike, the YZR-M1.
