The exhaust is claimed to improve power and torque delivery.
Yoshimura has unveiled a new slip-on exhaust system for the Kawasaki Versys X300 (Kawasaki Versys X250 for Indonesia). The company claims an increase in horsepower as well as torque, but an exact output gain has not been specified.
The new slip-on exhaust system by Yoshimura for the Kawasaki X300 is claimed to be 1.81 kg lighter than the stock unit. The R-77 street exhaust for the Kawasaki Versys X300 gets Yoshimura’s Works Finish and has a stainless-steel laser etched heat shield. The exhaust is manufactured in the USA and also boosts up the exhaust note significantly.
In stock form, the Kawasaki Versys X300 is powered by a 296 cc parallel twin mill which traces its origins to the Kawasaki Ninja 300. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine is capable of producing 39 PS of maximum power at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm.
