GM India will introduce an upgraded Chevrolet Cruze later today in New Delhi. The new Cruze has not changed its appearances but has a more refined and powerful diesel engine.
GM has not carried over the 2.2L engine from the new Captiva and is sticking to improving the current powertrain at every given opportunity.
It is quite puzzling why GM India is not interested in the Busan-facelift Cruze. The cosmetic makeover could have enhanced the car's appeal. Its been three years since GM India brought the Cruze to India and we see no reason for them to not launch it. The launch could have made India among the few global markets to enjoy the new model. Customers love to be treated specially.
GM is trying to boost the anticipation around the launch by posting teaser images on its Facebook page.
