Nissan India will launch the 2013 Nissan Micra in Mumbai today. The 2013 Micra is a comprehensive mid-life refresh for the small hatchback.
The revised Micra gains new headlights and taillights (which also have LEDs), bumpers and front grill. Nissan says that the Micra's front incorporates their new 'corporate look' with a 'V' shaped chrome surround for the Nissan logo.
To make it look premium, the rear bootlid of the new Micra gets an additional bootlip that blends with the bumper. You also get newly designed alloy wheels (which are now available on the diesel variants also).
Inside, the bulk of the changes is on the central console where the earlier 'griege' finish gives way for a new piano black color. The music system is now upgraded to a higher model which also features USB and Bluetooth support (earlier you had the option of the AUX-in only). Steering mounted controls are now available and they include buttons to receive and end phone calls, in addition to volume and source adjustments.
Under the hood, the 1.2-liter petrol and the 1.5-liter diesel engines continue with a slight retune for added fuel economy. Additionally, the Micra petrol will also be available with a CVT gearbox.
