Thanks to the folks at BMW Blog for leaking these images of the new BMW M3 and all-new BMW M4 well ahead of schedule! Just hours ago, BMW released a new video teasing these cars, which will have their world premieres at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2014.
While the M3 will be available only as a sedan, the M4 will have a convertible version following next year, following this coupe. Based on these images, BMW has chosen the 'Yas Marina Blue' for the M3 and an 'Austin Yellow' color for the M4. In fact, the M4 looks identical to the Concept M4 which was shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance earlier this year.
Both cars will be powered by a newly-developed 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine. Thanks to BMW's TwinPower Turbo technology, the M3 and M4 will produce around 430 hp and 500 Nm of torque. BMW engineers have tried to reduce the weight of these cars and its estimated that the M3 could weight less than 1,500 kg.
The M3 and M4 will go on sale later next year. BMW is expected to release technical information regarding these cars tomorrow. Stay tuned to Indian Autos Blog for further updates!
