The Range Rover Sport will make its public debut at the New York Auto Show tomorrow but we already have a couple of images to show you today.
Autofilou.blogspot.co.at has laid its hands on what appears like the official images of the new Rangie. The SUV which is based on the new Range Rover is characterized by the tapering roofline and contrasting dual-tone paint job.
The front and rear fascias are detailed more aggressively. The front fascia has sharper and smaller headlamp units, a smaller front grill and a sporty bumper.
The rear has smaller wraparound taillamps and the new bumper has a silver accented scuff plate. The dual circular exhaust tips do not hide behind the bumper like in the Range Rover.
Sitting on the bonded and riveted all aluminium Premium Lightweight Platform (PLA) like its big brother, the Range Rover Sport is lighter than the outgoing model by 300 kg. The huge weight saving means that the new car would be a lot more dynamic and efficient.
The powertrain options could start with Land Rover's 335 bhp V6 petrol motor. The bigger V8 supercharged petrol and diesel engines could be borrowed from the Range Rover.
Stay tuned to Indian Autos Blog as exact details on the 2014 Range Rover Sport will be out within a day.
