USA - Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban debut on September 12th
Through a posting on Facebook, Chevrolet has announced that the launch of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2015 Chevrolet Suburban would be held at a special event in New York City on the 12th of September.
Reading a report on WorldCarFans.com, we understand that the related models would be influenced heavily by the 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup that was introduced in the earlier part of the year. Therefore, the same 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 that develops 355 bhp and 518 Nm of torque, and 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 with 420 bhp and 609 Nm of torque would find application on the new generation SUVs.
From spy pictures, we pick up that the design would be an evolution of the current generation featuring an upright grille and headlamps resembling their pickup counterparts. Interiors of both models would be enriched with new equipment, modern design and higher trim quality. An earlier media report had inside sources confirming independent center stacks and instrument clusters for each of these SUVs. GM's customer clinics had concluded that differentiated interiors were the way forward, though components that customers don't notice would be shared for the benefits of scale.
The new Tahoe and Suburban are part of the 9 new models announced by Chevrolet for the next 12 months. Out of 9 vehicles, at least 4 vehicles would be redesigns.
