Available in 6 different variants.
Along with the Ford Everest, Ford Indonesia has also launched the facelifted Ford Ranger at the 2015 Indonesia International Motor Show today. Prices range between Rp. 314,800,000 - Rp. 488,000,000.
Like its SUV derivative, the Ford Ranger comes with a new chrome grille (grey plastic for lower variants), contoured bonnet, re-profiled bumpers and projector headlamps (only in higher variants), while the interior gets a brand new dashboard with a new 4.2-inch dual-TFT instrument cluster and steering wheel. It also features an 8-inch touchscreen display powered by Ford's SYNC 2 infotainment software.
The Ford Ranger is available in 6 different variants, which include a single cab Base, double cab Base, double cab XLS (featured), double cab XLT, and Ranger Wildtrak.
The Ranger Wildtrak and double cab XLT are powered by a 3.2-liter five-cylinder Duratorq TDCi diesel engine that makes 200 hp and 470 Nm of torque. It features a revised exhaust gas recirculation system and is claimed to be 18 percent more efficient. Torque is transferred through a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox to all four wheels via a 4x4 system, which is standard across the whole range.
Lower variants make do with the 2.2-liter four-cylinder Duratorq TDCi developing 150 hp and 375 Nm. The only transmission option available is a 6-speed manual transmission.
