Powered by a horizontally opposed six-cylinder mill.
The 2015 Honda Gold Wing 40th Anniversary Edition has been showcased at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2014. The iconic tourer was launched this week in India at INR 28.5 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The 2015 model receives minor tweaking to the bodywork to improve aerodynamics. The 40th Anniversary Edition comes in the Audio Comfort variant with a dual-tone Candy Prominence Red paint job complete with color coordinated luggage box and panniers.
The 40th Anniversary emblem can be found on the keys and the seat back. The Gold Wing GL1800 is richly equipped with five-position heated grips, 6-speaker 80W SRS surround-sound system, independently adjustable heated seats and foot-warming system, and ABS.
Other noteworthy features include an electronic cruise control system and electric reverse. Befittingly, a Gold Wing was Honda's 300 millionth milestone motorcycle.
The vehicle is powered by a smooth horizontally opposed six-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which displaces 1,832 cc. A 5-speed transmission with overdrive spins the wheel via a shaft.
